Moving Forward Together for Early Dementia Care
Join us in a dynamic collaboration as we work towards advancing dementia care and fostering awareness. The Dementia Advocacy Coalition, led by Oro Yoga Health and Wellness Center, in partnership with Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA), Purple Angel Global Dementia Awareness Campaign, IDCA, and Gunita para sa Dementia, is set to host a transformative event aimed at elevating early dementia care and wellness.

- Participants: 100 PRA members and dementia advocates
Objective and Purpose:
This event aims to raise awareness about dementia and promote wellness initiatives through collaboration with key stakeholders. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for seniors by providing tools for early dementia detection and intervention while fostering overall brain health. By creating a more informed and compassionate community, we hope to ensure better support for individuals and families affected by dementia. This event is a call to action, moving us towards a dementia-friendly future where care, understanding, and proactive strategies make a lasting impact.

The 5th Global Village Care Centre (GVCC) Branch is set to open in Taiping, Perak, Malaysia, on August 18th, 2024, at 6:00 PM Located at Kampung Sentosa, 34000 Simpang, Perak, Malaysia. This new branch, in Simpang, will further our mission to provide exceptional care for individuals living with dementia.
The event will feature the Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Institute for Dementia Care Asia (IDCA) and Global Village Care Centre. This partnership represents a significant milestone in our continued efforts to enhance dementia care across the region.

Structured as a talk show, esteemed guests, including experts like Czarina Cruel and Estrella Agustin, will delve into the nuances of music therapy. Scheduled for approximately one to one and a half hours, the event will clarify the distinctions between music therapy and music education, fostering public awareness. A key segment will showcase the Philippine entry for WRAD 2024 (World Rocks Against Dementia), featuring a speech by Norms McNamara, the movement's founder. Supported by Hi-Esai, the event will be broadcast online, allowing global participation. The event will be live-streamed via Facebook and is open to the public free of charge. Certificates are available upon request for a nominal fee. This promises to be an engaging and enlightening experience, uniting individuals worldwide in understanding music therapy's profound impact on dementia care.
