Course Description

This module teaches the significance and purpose of actual care provided to the elderly and persons with dementia such as care for mobility and transfers, care for meals, care for excretion through urine and bowel, care for dressing and disrobing, care for bodily cleanliness, grooming, and bathing. In this module, the student will learn techniques of care and points to note in the prevention of accidents during the care process. The student will learn how to prepare a care plan suited to support persons with dementia at different stages.
