9月15日(金)、IDCAは国際交流基金から文化交流を促進する目標の一部で日本語教育支援についての調査というメールを受信した。特に、その調査は現在フィリピンにおける日本語教育の状態を理解し、評価するため。調査は総合的で日本語を教える機関や教師の場面及び学習者の側両方尋ねた。IDCAの場合は、日本語講師は12人で教室のアシスタントは2人いる。IDCAの目標は介護福祉士は世界のどこでも働きたければ、高齢者または認知症介護は高潔な仕事だとわからせること。なので、IDCAの挑戦するポイントは幾つかの言語の介護の専門用語、特に高齢者または認知症介護の専門用語を教員陣に発達すること。IDCAは国際交流基金の調査の結果から出てくる勧告または支援を待っている。

The Institute for Dementia Care launched its 2017 seminar series at the UERM Auditorium on April 7, 2017. Guest Lecturer from Denmark Prof. Kieu Phung discussed demographic trends in aging emphasizing the statistics that indicate more than half of all the people with dementia in the world live in Asia. More than that the World Health Organization declared dementia as a public health priority. There is indeed a real need to educate healthcare providers to care for people with dementia. This recent Dementia Care Specialist Seminar is a general introduction to dementia and the nuances of dementia care (see program). The seminar was attended by family members and healthcare related professionals from as far as Bicol.
