LSVT®-LOUD practitioner
With a career spanning almost 19 years, Carla has directed her energies to working with adults and older clients with speech, language, voice and swallowing problems. The challenges she is most keen at facing are helping clients with dementia understand and be understood as well as feed safely despite their difficulties. As a Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) practitioner, she helps Parkinson’s patients communicate in bigger voices. She teaches at the University of the Philippines and the University of Santo Tomas. Presently taking her PhD in Philippine Studies-TriCollege at UP Diliman, she hopes to turn rehabilitation research inward and promote the Filipino to the Filipino.
